The Russo Brothers Assemble: Inside AGBO, Their $1 Billion Studio, and When They Might Return to Marvel
Avengers: Endgame Directors Kill MCU Fans' Hopes for a Phase Six Return
Joe Russo, who shares half of the iconic billing with brother Anthony, delivered a clear answer to a question that has been persistently directed at him ever since the runaway success of 2019's Avengers: Endgame. That question, of course, asks if the brothers are returning to the MCU to tackle the consequential megamovies currently in the pipeline. Unfortunately for their fans, the answer, as delivered to Variety, leaves little ambiguity. "We’re always talking; we’d need to see what would work,” he said. "We won’t be ready to do anything with Marvel until the end of the decade." Additionally, the trade qualifies the comment -- reportedly made in early October -- with the idea that the duo have "known the truth for years."
Eternals Producer Confirms the MCU Isn't Done With Them Yet
While speaking to Phaze Zero about the next cinematic entry in the MCU, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, (at the 8:01 minute mark) producer Nate Moore was asked about the possibility of an Eternals sequel, another Marvel film he produced that was directed by Chloé Zhao and introduced an entire new team to the franchise. Though he did not share any specific plans, Moore confirmed that the Eternals will appear in the MCU's future. "I don't want to spoil anything, but we have not seen the last of those characters."
Hugh Jackman Promises an Angrier, Grumpier Wolverine in Deadpool 3
At a red carpet interview with AP at an event for director Florian Zeller's film, The Son (for which Jackman headlines), the imminently returning Wolverine was asked about his Deadpool 3 return. While short on details, he did describe the demeanor his signature character will have in the upcoming threequel. "There’s no choice. He’s definitely the angrier, acerbic, grumpy. And he’s going to take a lot of free shots at Ryan Reynolds -- physically, that is." Of course, Wolverine's mood will be a crucial element to the film since it will seemingly center on the interplay between Jackman's perpetually irate X-Man and Reynolds' loquaciously sarcastic mutant assassin. Yet, regarding his eventual grumpy performance, he also said, "I'm going to have the time of my life."
Aubrey Plaza Joins ‘Agatha: Coven Of Chaos’ Marvel Series For Disney+
As initially reported by The Illuminerdi and subsequently confirmed by Variety,Aubrey Plaza has joined the cast of Coven of Chaos in an undisclosed role. Plaza joins series lead Kathryn Hahn, as well as Caulfield Ford and Joe Locke, in the upcoming Disney+ series set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Leads Directly Into Ironheart
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever producer Nate Moore has revealed that the highly-anticipated Marvel Studios film will lead directly into the events of the Disney+ original series Ironheart, which will see Dominique Thorne reprise her role as Riri Williams.
"So, the show is a direct sequel to the movie," Moore said during an interview with CinemaBlend. "So, Riri is carrying the experiences she had in this movie back home to MIT and there's some interesting repercussions to her adventures that will set her on a fun course."
