The @LegendsOfShield (Legends Of S.H.I.E.L.D.) Agents Stargate Pioneer, Haley and Lauren are bursting with Marvel Universe awesomeness having been finally able to watch the 11th Marvel Cinematic Universe installment Avengers Age Of Ultron on opening weekend in the United States. The trio run down their biggest takeaways from the film and try to tie it into the television universe as well with the finale episodes of the second season of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. upon us as well. Avengers: Age Of Ultron [3:37]
Welcome to the Legends Of S.H.I.E.L.D. discussion of the eleventh Marvel Cinematic Universe installment Avengers Age Of Ultron. It was a great movie and we all loved watching it! Apparently not everyone was able to see the Star Wars Trailer in the theater. But we did get to see some other awesome summer movie trailers to include: Ant-Man, Tomorrowland, Fantastic Four, Pixels, San Andreas, and Jurassic World. And after that there was no setup at all, just straight from the previous Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode into a blockbuster superhero movie all in the same Sovokia set. Language! Did Captain America's character take a step back? What was up with Thor's Cave Jacuzzi? Marvel did a great job of crafting the promos so that the actual story was never fully revealed so we didn't feel like we had already seen the movie at home on TV commercials in interviews and through the internet. Was Quicksilver's story a result of the character in two different studio comic book universes? Joss Whedon fooled two out of the three Legends Of S.H.I.E.L.D. hosts over the Hawkeye-Quicksilver story. Avengers! XXXXXXXX!!! Assemble Teaser Whedon!!! Just who can lift Thor's Hammer? Does Loki/Odin still have his scepter? Ultron really made the movie fit together. Claw gets his supervillain origins story. We see fantastic glimpses into the future of the MCU through The Scarlet Witch. Just what does Hawkeye's revelations really mean for the comic book based marriage between Hawkeye and Mockingbird? We think about just what Theta Protocol will be in Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. since it wasn't addressed in the movie. EVERYONE loved Fury's Dramatic moment! It was Fist pump worthy! The fight scenes were incredibly done. Everything about Vision was amazing from his complex creation to his inclusion at the end of the film. And for GOODNESS SAKE BEATS ARE NOT GOOD HEADPHONES. Listen to what Lauren's suggestions for Hulk calming headphones are. Where was the life saving Falcon in the final battle? We are sure he was on a special cold case missing person lead but THIS WAS WHAT HE WAS TRAINED TO DO! We all love F.R.I.D.A.Y. and can't wait to see and hear her on screen again. In the end Avengers was EVERYTHING we had hoped for and more. Marvel sure lived up to the hype.
The hosts also tentatively update their MCU rankings.
