Disney has fired Marvel Entertainment's controversial chairman Ike Perlmutter to cut costs after his failed attempt to shake up the company's board.
Per The New York Times, Perlmutter learned the news on Wednesday morning by phone. According to the report, Disney decided to fold Marvel Entertainment, a separate entity from Marvel Studios that focuses on consumer products, into larger business units in the company. This comes anonymously from two Disney Executives that agreed to discuss the matter. This comes days after Disney began laying off approximately 7,000 employees to improve Disney's financial gains with a $5.5 billion cut.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star Jonathan Majors' future within the Marvel Cinematic Universe is currently up in the air, with Marvel Studios reportedly weighing its options following the actor's recent criminal charges.
According to industry insider Jeff Sneider of The Hot Mic podcast, Marvel Studios executives are deliberating the next steps to take following Majors' highly-publicized arrest, which led to the actor being arraigned on assault and harassment charges. Evidently, the company has yet to reach a decision on the matter. "I've heard that Marvel hasn't made any decisions regarding Jonathan Majors but they've met with or spoken to his agent to discuss potential options going forward," Sneider said.

Actor Jonathan Majors called 911 before he was arrested for assault and harassment after his girlfriend suffered a mental health issue, his lawyer claims.
The Marvel star's girlfriend, whose name has not been disclosed, used physical force against Majors during the Saturday morning incident, according to the messages.
In the texts she calls herself the aggressor and says she hopes that the Ant-Man and the Wasp and Creed III actor will not get prosecuted.
Majors' lawyer, Priya Chaudhry told DailyMail.com in a statement that Majors 'completely denies assaulting the woman,' and that he called 911 'out of concern for the woman’s mental health.'

The Marvel Cinematic Universe's Secret Invasion series finally has a release date for Disney+.
The streaming service recently updated the page for Secret Invasion, revealing it will hit Disney+ on June 21, 2023. The show follows Nick Fury (Samual L. Jackson) and more as the world is infiltrated by a Skrull invasion, with the alien race taking the forms of significant figures on earth. This comes just days after a report indicated Secret Invasion had suffered a delay with a move from May to June.

X-Men '97 showrunner Beau DeMayo revealed that Mister Sinister would be the primary antagonist in the upcoming Disney+ animated series.
"A very, very, very, very favorite character of mine and many others, Mr. Sinister, will rear his ugly head from the past with a pretty foolproof plan to destroy the X-Men once and for all," announced DeMayo at the X-Men: 60 Uncanny Years Live Virtual Event (via The Direct). He also confirmed that Christopher Britton, who played the character in the original X-Men: The Animated Series, would once again voice the master of cloning, Mister Sinister, in the upcoming continuation.

Along with 2022's Everything Everywhere All at Once, Quan is also known for his performances as Short Round in 1984's Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Data in 1985's The Goonies and more.
